Senior Business Development Manager - Tarjama

Function Objectives

To attract new clients for translation and localization, building solid long-term relationships to capitalize on upsell and cross-sell opportunities. As a requirement of this role your duties will include market research, development of business strategies and pitches, managing a variety of reports and identifying new business opportunities. 

Willing to familiarize yourself with the company's vision and mission and seeking to accomplish set goals and objectives, you will work alongside other departments and report to the Chief Revenue Officer. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Identify new clients by researching and creating networking opportunities – work from the Company’s history with existing clients to find new opportunities in the same sectors. Present the company as a market leader for language services, converting opportunities to paying clients. 
  • Work with the Marketing Department on digital marketing campaigns – use various lead generation tools to target potential localization buyers.
  • Develop client relationships and strengthen industry partnerships – includes preparing RFI / RFQ / RFP responses for your allocated clients / accounts working closely with end Clients, Project Managers, Operations and Finance to ensure the company meets, and where possible exceeds, client expectations.
  • Increase Company profile within targeted sectors - build long term relationships where there are none and secure profitable projects.
  • Arrange and Lead client presentations and technology demos – working with internal development team, project management and Managing Partners
  • Perform competitor analysis with the aim of obtaining an increased market share – identify competitor strengths and weaknesses for comparison with the group’s service offering. 
  • Consult with Marketing, and Management to align strategies aimed at increasing revenue.
  • Negotiate and close business deals that promote sustained revenue for the group.
  • For each allocated account identify key staff and increase frequency of communication between the group and the client (s) to develop a profitable relationshipWork to maintain and improve the existing relationships with key clients.  
  • Record calls, meetings, and correspondence for each client in the CRM (Salesforce) and keep contact details relevant.
  • Within allocated accounts identify those ‘at risk’ and develop plans for retention involving the support of your colleagues e.g., Business Development, Project Management, CRO, CEO.
  • Work to increase the number of contact points within each account – look for both upselling and cross-selling opportunities to increase the group’s share of client spend.
  • With operations and project management, conduct and coordinate Quarterly Business Reviews for new and existing key clients. 
  • Present achievement to target each quarter, report to the Head of Business Development and senior management team.
  • Take ownership of client service issues and follow problems through to resolution.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities

This job initially has no supervisory responsibilities but as the Business Development team grows, the Senior Business Development Manager will be considered, based on performance, to lead and manage a team.

Requirements:
 

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 3 - 5 years' relevant work experience in business development or similar field preferred.
  • Fluent in Arabic would be an advantage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
  • Strong organization and project management skills.
  • Friendly and personable demeanour.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant software.
