Business Development Executive

Job Purpose

The BDE will be responsible for generating profitable new business by using a consultative approach to present, negotiate and close new contracts, exceeding team objectives. The Business Development Executive will lead opportunities for growth, develop and oversee sales-related activities and events needed to generate awareness and sales opportunities as directed by his/her management.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

 

  • Implement sales strategy for a particular market sector by leveraging market knowledge and developing the product and value proposition.
  • Manage the full sales cycle to maximize revenue potential within existing accounts whilst targeting new customer acquisitions.
  • Develop and manage a pipeline of sales opportunities within the sector with an emphasis on tailored solution selling with the managers direction.
  • Support in identifying strategic and tactical sales account plans.
  • Articulate and demonstrate to prospects the value of Tarjama's offering, clearly presenting competitive advantages.
  • Use in-depth industry knowledge and document workflow knowledge to evaluate specific customer needs and position benefits of solutions.
  • Build and maintain client relationships, develop strategic sales plans, and act as a thought partner in complex client negotiations.
  • Keeping on top of competitive activity to appropriately support in advising on strategic and tactical sales recommendations.
  • Identify ways to integrate Tarjama's linguistic and technology solutions into the customers' workflow and recommend best practices.
  • Plan to ensure achievement of personal targets, aligning with company sales policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships, expectations, and satisfaction.
  • Attending industry conferences to generate leads and promote Tarjama.

 

Education, Experience & Qualifications

 

  • A bachelor's degree in business, Marketing or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in the language or translation industry.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and goals.
  • Experience in developing and implementing sales strategies.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of the language and translation industry is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
