Job Title: Parent Coordinator

Location: Modern Global International School (Qortuba Branch), Riyadh, KSA Position 

Type: Full-Time From 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM 

Starting Date: End Date: End of Academic School Year Position 

Summary: 

The Parents Coordinator is responsible for fostering positive relationships between the school and parents, ensuring open communication, and organizing programs and events that promote parental involvement in the school community. This role supports the school’s mission by working closely with parents, faculty, and students to create an engaging and supportive environment. The coordinator serves as a key point of contact for parents and helps facilitate effective communication and collaboration between families and the school. 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Communication and Liaison 

  • Act as the primary point of contact for parents, addressing inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner. 
  • Maintain open, regular communication with parents regarding school events, policies, and school updates. 
  • Coordinate parent-teacher meetings, conferences, and other communication initiatives to ensure strong home-school partnerships.

2. Organizing Parent Engagement Activities 

  • Plan and organize parent involvement activities such as school events, volunteer opportunities, and social gatherings. 
  • Work closely with teachers and school leadership to ensure that parent engagement initiatives align with the school’s values and goals. 
  • Develop programs that promote involvement in school projects and collaborative opportunities between school and home.

3. School Event Coordination 

  • Collaborate with the school community to organize school events, such as orientations, parent-teacher conferences, school performances, and cultural celebrations. 
  • Coordinate logistics for events, including scheduling, venue preparation, refreshments, and volunteer coordination. 
  • Promote school events through communication channels like newsletters and ClassDojo to ensure maximum participation.

4. Managing Parent Volunteer Programs 

  • Develop and oversee the school’s parent volunteer program, encouraging parent participation in school activities and events. 
  • Recruit and manage parent volunteers for various school initiatives, ensuring that they are well-supported and properly informed. 
  • Organize training sessions for volunteers and ensure their roles align with the school’s policies and objectives.

5. Conflict Resolution and Support 

  • Address and mediate concerns between parents and the school, ensuring effective communication and fostering positive relationships. 
  • Support parents in understanding and addressing their child’s behavioral and social challenges in collaboration with teachers and school counselors. 
  • Guide parents in accessing appropriate school resources to support their child’s success.

6. Data Collection and Feedback 

  • Gather feedback from parents through surveys, meetings, and other communication channels to assess their needs and satisfaction with the school. 
  • Analyze feedback to identify areas for improvement in parent-school relationships and engagement. 
  • Report on parent engagement efforts and outcomes to school leadership and make recommendations for improvement.

7. Additional Duties

  • Support the school’s marketing efforts by promoting the school’s activities, achievements, and values to the wider community. 
  • Assist with student enrollment processes by engaging prospective families and providing information about the school. 
  • Perform other duties related to parent relations as assigned by school leadership.

8. Qualifications: 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communications, or a related field. 
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in coordination, community relations, or customer service roles, preferably in a school or educational environment. 
  • Certifications: Certification in event planning, communication, or community relations is a plus. 
  • Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse groups of people; proficiency in using office software, email platforms, and social media tools. Knowledge: Understanding of the role of parental involvement in student success; knowledge of conflict resolution and problem-solving techniques.
