Job Description: General Hospitality Trainer 

Location: HTMi Saudi Arabia 

Position: Full-Time Reports To: Academic Director 

Job Summary: 

The General Hospitality Trainer at HTMi Saudi Arabia is tasked with delivering high-quality, engaging, and practical training programs that prepare students for careers in the hospitality and tourism industry. The trainer will provide a blend of theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience, fostering professional growth and aligning with the global standards of excellence HTMi is known for. 

Key Responsibilities:

Instruction and Training Delivery: 

  • Deliver classroom-based and practical training in core hospitality topics, including: Front Office Operations, Housekeeping Management, Food and Beverage Service Techniques, Customer Service Excellence, Hospitality and Tourism Concepts 
  • Incorporate real-world scenarios and case studies to make learning dynamic and relevant. 
  • Use a variety of instructional methods to address different learning styles and ensure student engagement. 
  • Provide consistent, constructive feedback and assessment to track student progress and identify improvement areas.

Program Development and Maintenance: 

  • Design and update training materials, lesson plans, and assessments to reflect industry trends and best practices. 
  • Collaborate with other trainers and the Academic Director to ensure program content aligns with HTMi standards and Saudi Arabia’s hospitality market needs. 
  • Integrate technology, sustainability practices, and cultural sensitivity into training programs.

Student Support and Mentorship: 

  • Act as a mentor to students, fostering a positive learning environment and encouraging professionalism. 
  • Support students in understanding and achieving their career goals in hospitality and tourism. 
  • Facilitate career readiness through skills workshops, mock interviews, and internship preparation. 

Professional Development and Collaboration: 

  • Stay updated with developments in the hospitality and tourism sectors, including certifications and industry trends. 
  • Participate in HTMi events, recruitment activities, and program improvement initiatives. 
  • Work collaboratively with faculty to develop interdisciplinary training opportunities.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Education: 

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Tourism, or a related field.

Experience: 

  • 3 to 5 years of industry experience in the hospitality sector, with exposure to multiple departments (e.g., Front Office, F&B, Housekeeping, or Tourism Management). 
  • Proven ability to apply hospitality management principles in real-world settings. 
  • Experience in training, mentoring, or instructional roles is a strong advantage.

Skills and Competencies: 

  • In-depth understanding of hospitality operations and industry standards. 
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to engage diverse learners. Proficiency is English is a must. 
  • Ability to manage time effectively and deliver structured, impactful training sessions. 
  • Proficiency with hospitality and tourism software systems (e.g., PMS, POS, and CRM tools). 
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity, particularly regarding Saudi Arabian customs and expectations.

Additional Qualifications (Preferred): 

  • Certifications related to hospitality or tourism management (e.g., CHA, CHDT, or Train-the-Trainer). 
  • Professional certifications in customer service, leadership, or sustainability practices. 
  • Evidence of continuing professional development through workshops, seminars, or certifications.
