Location: Modern Global International School (Qortuba Branch), Riyadh, KSA 

Position Type: Full-Time From 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM

End Date: End of Academic School Year Position 

Summary: 

The School Floor Observer is responsible for monitoring and overseeing student behavior, safety, and adherence to school policies within designated areas of the school. This role ensures a structured and secure environment by maintaining order, supporting teachers and staff, and addressing incidents promptly. The School Floor Observer works collaboratively with the school administration to uphold the school’s values and maintain a positive learning atmosphere. 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supervision and Monitoring 

  • Regularly patrol assigned areas of the school, including hallways, classrooms, restrooms, and common spaces, to ensure student safety and proper conduct. 
  • Observe student interactions to identify and address inappropriate behavior or potential conflicts. 
  • Ensure students follow school rules, including dress code, attendance in classes, and timely transitions between periods.

2. Student Safety and Support 

  • Respond promptly to emergencies or incidents, providing immediate assistance and reporting issues to the administration as necessary. 
  • Monitor for any hazards or unsafe conditions and report them to the maintenance or administrative team. 
  • Provide guidance and support to students, encouraging positive behavior and respectful interactions.

3. Collaboration with Staff and Administration 

  • Work closely with teachers and staff to manage student behavior and address disciplinary issues. 
  • Communicate observations and concerns regarding student behavior or safety to school leadership. 
  • Assist in implementing behavior management plans or school-wide policies as directed by the administration.

4. Recordkeeping and Reporting 

  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, interventions, and other observations as required by the school. 
  • Submit timely and detailed reports to the administration regarding any disciplinary actions, safety concerns, or patterns of behavior.

5. Additional Duties 

  • Assist in managing student movement during assemblies, transitions, and dismissal times. 
  • Provide support during school events, ensuring orderly conduct and safety. 
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the school administration to contribute to a positive and secure school environment.

6. Qualifications: 

  • Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, or a related field is preferred. 
  • Experience: Previous experience in a school environment, particularly in student supervision or behavior management, is preferred. 
  • Certifications: - Training in conflict resolution, behavior management, or school safety protocols is an advantage. - Familiarity with first aid and emergency response procedures is beneficial. Skills: Excellent observational and problem-solving skills to identify and address issues effectively. 
  • Knowledge: Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with students, staff, and parents.
