Position Summary:
MGIS is an International School, with IB certification, where English is the first language of instruction. Arabic is the official second language and is taught to all students from KG1 to Grade 9. The Arabic Teacher (mother tongue) is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in Arabic, encompassing reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills, in accordance with the IB philosophy. The Special Arabic Teacher (for non-Arabic speaking students) will deliver high-quality instructions adapted to the level of proficiency of the students starting with functional spoken Arabic as early as possible. This role involves fostering an appreciation for Arabic literature and culture, developing students’ proficiency in the language, and supporting their overall academic growth. The Arabic Teacher collaborates with school staff, communicates with parents, and aligns teaching practices with the school’s educational goals and curriculum standards.
