Job Summary/ Objectives: 

The mid-junior level Cybersecurity Engineer plays a pivotal role in safeguarding organizational assets by implementing and maintaining robust security measures. Responsible for monitoring network activities, conducting vulnerability assessments, and responding promptly to security incidents, the officer contributes to the development and enforcement of security policies. Managing endpoint security, access controls, and participating in security audits to ensure compliance with industry standards are integral aspects of the role. With a focus on continuous improvement, the officer stays abreast of emerging cybersecurity threats and technologies, collaborating effectively with IT teams to address vulnerabilities. Strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of security frameworks, and excellent communication abilities characterize the ideal candidate for this position, which requires adaptability in a dynamic work environment.

General Duties and Responsibilities: 

  1. Assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining security controls, policies, and procedures to protect against cyber threats.
  2. Monitor network traffic for unusual activities, analyze security alerts, and conduct regular assessments to identify vulnerabilities.
  3. Participate in incident response activities, investigate security incidents, and collaborate with relevant teams to contain and mitigate threats.
  4. Contribute to the development and enforcement of security policies and procedures to ensure a secure computing environment.
  5. Manage and maintain endpoint protection solutions to secure end-user devices and prevent unauthorized access.
  6. Assist in managing user access, permissions, and authentication processes to ensure proper security controls.
  7. Participate in security audits, ensure compliance with industry regulations, and prepare for external audits.
  8. Contribute to cybersecurity training and awareness programs for employees to enhance the overall security posture of the organization.
  9. Maintain up-to-date documentation of security policies, procedures, and configurations for reference and compliance purposes.
  10. Stay informed about emerging cybersecurity threats and technologies, and evaluate and recommend new security solutions.
  11. Collaborate with IT teams and other stakeholders to address identified vulnerabilities and implement security measures.
  12. Analyze security data, generate reports on security metrics, and provide insights to improve the overall cybersecurity posture.
  13. Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and evolving threats to proactively address security challenges.
  14. Any other Task assigned from your supervisor. 


Required Education and Experience:

  1. A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline is generally required.
  2. A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in mid-Junior level cybersecurity roles.
