Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Price Analyst to join our dynamic E-commerce team. The Price Analyst will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing product pricing strategies to ensure competitiveness, profitability, and alignment with market trends. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of pricing strategies, and experience in working with large datasets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pricing Strategy & Analysis:
    • Conduct in-depth analysis of market trends, competitor pricing, and customer behavior to determine optimal pricing strategies for products.
    • Regularly monitor competitor pricing and adjust internal pricing strategies accordingly.
    • Perform price elasticity analysis to understand the impact of price changes on demand.
    • Ensure pricing consistency across multiple platforms (website, mobile app, third-party channels).
  • Data Management & Reporting:

    • Analyze large sets of pricing data to provide insights and recommendations for pricing decisions.
    • Develop and maintain pricing reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for internal stakeholders.
    • Assist in the implementation of pricing tools and automation systems.
  • Collaboration:
  •  
    • Work closely with the marketing, sales, and product teams to ensure alignment of pricing strategies with business goals.
    • Support the creation of promotional pricing strategies and discount structures for marketing campaigns.
  • Cost & Profitability Analysis:
  •  
    • Evaluate and recommend adjustments to pricing based on cost structures, market demand, and competitor performance.
    • Perform profitability analysis on product pricing to maximize margins while remaining competitive in the market.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  •  
    • Stay up-to-date with e-commerce industry trends, competitor pricing tactics, and emerging technologies.
    • Recommend process improvements to streamline pricing analysis and reporting.

Requirements:

  • Data engineering with min of 5 years experience with pricing analysis ideally in FMCG world
  • Proven experience in pricing analysis, data analytics, or a related field, ideally within e-commerce or retail.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, or similar data analysis tools.
  • Familiarity with pricing tools, ERP systems, and business intelligence software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in e-commerce pricing, revenue management, or financial analysis.
  • Knowledge of market research methodologies and tools.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing and pricing optimization strategies.
