What You’ll Be Doing
 
As an FMCG Buyer for our Dark Store, you will play a pivotal role in sourcing, developing, and introducing product ranges tailored to our clientele. This role holds significant responsibility as profitability is directly impacted by the strategic purchasing decisions made. The Buyer is instrumental in enhancing profits through the acquisition of suitable goods at competitive prices, necessitating a keen understanding of the target audience and the ability to predict future trends.

Main Responsibilities: 
Full Ownership over the category purchasing role in terms of Assortments, listing, Pricing, Offers, and Supply.
Reviewing and resolving any issues with local suppliers and Assortment.
Responsible for ensuring we have the required right inventory at the warehouse by analysing the current inventory status and updating the ordering parameters.
Daily monitoring of stock movement, running report of daily inventory adjustment.
Maintaining parameters of the replenishment model and making sure it is accurately input into the system, including lead times, reorder point, economic order quantities, suppliers minimum order quantities, etc.
Preparing demand forecasts and initiating orders to the warehouse and tracking receipt of such orders and Managing the relevant inventory in coordination with the Head of Dark store.
Ensuring timely and accurate analysis and reporting of inventory and purchase forecasts
Dispatching orders to suppliers and ensuring proper tracking
Liaising with suppliers for improving collaborative forecasting planning and replenishment
Seller Management – Identifying, onboarding, and managing key sellers for brands
Following up and ensuring effective execution of all activities required for each promotional event.
Pricing – Maintaining price competitiveness (in comparison with offline retail) + benchmarking with the competition.
To Achieve KPI Targets.
 
Requirements:
Minimum 5+ years of experience in buying, merchandising, or category management
Proven work experience as an FMCG, Wholesale Buyer or relevant role
Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization,
Sharp attention to detail
Highly numerical, analytical, and data-driven with
Proficiency in MS office-excel
A bachelor’s degree
Language skills: Fluency in English and Arabic would be highly advantageous
