Job Summary
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will oversee all financial aspects of the company, including financial planning, risk management, and reporting. This role is critical in guiding the company’s financial strategy, ensuring financial stability, and supporting business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Strategy: Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy in alignment with overall business objectives. Provide strategic financial guidance to support growth and profitability.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Oversee the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes. Analyze financial performance, trends, and variances to inform decision-making and strategy.
  • Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, reports, and presentations for the Board of Directors, CEO, and other stakeholders. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
  • Risk Management: Identify and manage financial risks, including market, credit, and operational risks. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and ensure adequate insurance coverage.
  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage the company’s cash flow, ensuring liquidity and effective cash management. Develop strategies to optimize working capital and manage financial resources efficiently.
  • Investment Management: Evaluate and recommend investment opportunities, including capital expenditures, acquisitions, and financing options. Assess the financial impact of investment decisions and strategies.
  • Financial Controls: Establish and maintain robust internal controls and financial policies. Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage the finance team, including recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and development. Foster a high-performance culture and ensure effective team collaboration.
  • Stakeholder Relations: Maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including banks, auditors, and investors. Manage communications and negotiations related to financial matters.
  • Strategic Initiatives: Support strategic business initiatives by providing financial analysis and insights. Collaborate with other senior executives to drive organizational goals and strategic projects.
  • Technology and Systems: Oversee the implementation and management of financial systems and technologies. Ensure systems support financial reporting, analysis, and operational efficiency.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and tax requirements. Support corporate governance practices and maintain accurate financial records and documentation.

Qualifications & Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration required
  • Professional accounting certification (CPA, ACCA, CA, or CMA) required 
  • MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred 
  • 12–15+ years progressive finance experience 
  • Minimum 8–10 years in senior financial leadership (CFO, Finance Director, or VP of Finance) 
  • Proven track record in financial strategy, FP&A, and risk management 
  • Experience in reporting to a Board of Directors 
  • Expert in IFRS and Jordanian financial regulations/tax laws 
  • Strong corporate governance and internal controls knowledge 
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills 
  • Strong strategic thinking and business acumen 
  • Excellent communication in English and Arabic (required) 
  • High integrity and ethical standards
