Develop and implement maintenance strategies to ensure the reliability and availability of equipment and machinery 
Lead and manage the maintenance team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure high levels of productivity and efficiency. 
Plan and schedule maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and predictive maintenance, to minimize unplanned downtime and maintain production continuity. 
Coordinate with production, quality control, and other departments to prioritize maintenance tasks based on production schedules and equipment criticality. 
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures in all maintenance activities, promoting a culture of safety awareness and adherence to safety standards.
 Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction in maintenance operations, implementing best practices and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
 Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment history, spare parts inventory, and maintenance schedules. 
Monitor equipment performance and reliability, analysing data and trends to identify potential issues and implement proactive measures to prevent equipment failures. 
Manage the procurement of spare parts, tools, and equipment necessary for maintenance activities, ensuring adequate inventory levels and timely availability. 
Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to troubleshoot complex equipment problems and implement technical solutions to optimize equipment performance. 
Conduct regular inspections and audits of equipment and facilities to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and opportunities for improvement. 
Prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations for senior management regarding maintenance performance, equipment reliability, and capital expenditure requirements. 
Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in maintenance management, incorporating relevant knowledge and skills into daily operations. 
Execute activities related to his/her function in safe and environmental methods.
