Job Title: Senior Accountant

Job Summary
The Senior Accountant or Accountant is responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with local and international financial regulations, and supporting the financial health of Kana Group. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in accounting practices and financial management.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management
Record and reconcile all financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
Prepare and analyze financial statements such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Assist in managing the company’s financial budget and forecasts.
Regulatory Compliance
Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including VAT and corporate tax filings.
Prepare for and support audits by internal and external auditors.
Maintain proper documentation for all financial transactions in accordance with Kuwaiti regulations and company policies.
Operational Support
Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure adequate funding for operational needs.
Support procurement processes by verifying invoices, purchase orders, and vendor payments.
Liaise with banks and financial institutions for transactions and documentation.
Reporting and Analysis
Generate periodic financial reports for management review.
Provide insights and recommendations for improving financial performance and cost management.
Support the Finance Manager in strategic planning and decision-making processes.
Qualifications and Skills
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or ACCA are preferred.
Experience
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting or financial management.
Experience working in Kuwait with knowledge of local financial regulations and practices.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Odoo, SAP, or similar) and MS Excel.
Familiarity with ERP systems is an advantage.
Strong understanding of Kuwaiti tax laws, including VAT.
Soft Skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
