We are looking for a highly skilled and dedicated Executive Sous Chef to join our culinary leadership team. As the Executive Sous Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in managing the kitchen, ensuring food quality, and maintaining smooth kitchen operations. You will oversee kitchen staff, assist with menu planning, and ensure that all food preparation and presentation meet the highest standards. Your leadership and expertise will play a key role in maintaining an efficient and exceptional culinary environment.Key Responsibilities
• Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring that food preparation and service meet the restaurant's standards.
• Supervise, mentor, and train kitchen staff to maintain high levels of performance and motivation.
• Manage the kitchen in the absence of the Executive Chef, ensuring seamless operations.
• Ensure food safety and cleanliness standards are met at all times.
• Collaborate with the Executive Chef and other team members to develop new menu items, specials, and seasonal offerings.
• Monitor food inventory, order supplies, and manage food costs effectively.
• Conduct quality checks on dishes to ensure consistency and presentation meet company standards.
• Oversee kitchen equipment maintenance and ensure all equipment is functioning correctly.
• Assist in the hiring and onboarding of new kitchen staff.
• Resolve any kitchen-related issues promptly and efficiently to ensure smooth operations.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and communication between kitchen and front-of-house staff.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards in all kitchen operations.Basic Qualifications
• Culinary degree or equivalent professional training.
• Proven experience as a Sous Chef, Executive Sous Chef, or in a similar leadership role in a high-volume kitchen.
• Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety standards, and culinary techniques.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency in food quality and presentation.Preferred Skills/Experience
