Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Storekeeper to oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods within our slaughterhouse facility. The successful candidate will ensure inventory accuracy, maintain proper storage conditions, and support the overall efficiency of our food services operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming goods and supplies.
- Organize and maintain storage areas to ensure safety and accessibility.
- Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies as needed to prevent shortages.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using manual or electronic systems.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of perishable items in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with procurement and production teams to meet operational needs.
- Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile discrepancies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage facilities.
- Adhere to safety protocols and food hygiene standards at all times.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Storekeeper or in a similar role, preferably within a slaughterhouse or food industry.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems and procedures.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
- Physical ability to perform manual handling and lift heavy items.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in inventory or warehouse management are advantageous.
Work Environment:
This role involves working in a slaughterhouse environment, which requires adherence to strict health, safety, and hygiene standards. The position may involve standing for extended periods and manual handling of goods.
