Job Summary:
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all operations related to the main warehouse and sub-stores at Kana Group. This role ensures efficient inventory management, stock control, and distribution of products across the organization. The Warehouse Manager will lead and manage a team to optimize processes, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and contribute to the overall efficiency of warehouse operations.Key Responsibilities:
- Warehouse Operations Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the main warehouse and sub-stores, ensuring timely and accurate receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
- Monitor and improve operational efficiency and workflow, including inbound and outbound logistics.
- Implement and maintain inventory management systems to ensure real-time accuracy of stock levels.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead, train, and manage the warehouse team, including supervisors and sub-store staff.
- Set performance goals for the team and conduct regular performance reviews to ensure continuous development and productivity.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the warehouse team.
- Inventory Control and Stock Management:
- Ensure accurate stock levels are maintained through regular audits, cycle counts, and reconciliations.
- Manage and optimize storage space, implementing best practices in warehouse layout and stock organization.
- Oversee the handling of near-expiry and expired products, ensuring proper processes are in place for timely disposal or rotation.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure the warehouse and sub-stores operate in compliance with local regulations, health and safety guidelines, and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment to prevent accidents and improve operational efficiency.
- Logistics and Distribution:
- Coordinate with other departments, such as procurement and sales, to ensure timely and efficient distribution of goods to various branches and clients.
- Manage relationships with transport providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring cost-effective, reliable service.
- Process Improvement and Reporting:
- Continuously review and improve warehouse processes and systems to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels.
- Provide regular reports to the CPO on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory accuracy, order fulfillment rates, and operational costs.
