Job Summary:
 The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all operations related to the main warehouse and sub-stores at Kana Group. This role ensures efficient inventory management, stock control, and distribution of products across the organization. The Warehouse Manager will lead and manage a team to optimize processes, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and contribute to the overall efficiency of warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Warehouse Operations Management:
    • Oversee day-to-day operations of the main warehouse and sub-stores, ensuring timely and accurate receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
    • Monitor and improve operational efficiency and workflow, including inbound and outbound logistics.
    • Implement and maintain inventory management systems to ensure real-time accuracy of stock levels.
  2. Team Leadership:
    • Lead, train, and manage the warehouse team, including supervisors and sub-store staff.
    • Set performance goals for the team and conduct regular performance reviews to ensure continuous development and productivity.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the warehouse team.
  3. Inventory Control and Stock Management:
    • Ensure accurate stock levels are maintained through regular audits, cycle counts, and reconciliations.
    • Manage and optimize storage space, implementing best practices in warehouse layout and stock organization.
    • Oversee the handling of near-expiry and expired products, ensuring proper processes are in place for timely disposal or rotation.
  4. Compliance and Safety:
    • Ensure the warehouse and sub-stores operate in compliance with local regulations, health and safety guidelines, and company policies.
    • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment to prevent accidents and improve operational efficiency.
  5. Logistics and Distribution:
    • Coordinate with other departments, such as procurement and sales, to ensure timely and efficient distribution of goods to various branches and clients.
    • Manage relationships with transport providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring cost-effective, reliable service.
  6. Process Improvement and Reporting:
    • Continuously review and improve warehouse processes and systems to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels.
    • Provide regular reports to the CPO on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory accuracy, order fulfillment rates, and operational costs.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and warehouse software.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
