| Job Objective |
| To perform advanced repair, diagnostics, and maintenance activities for reefer trucks, including body repairs, tail lift troubleshooting, and refrigeration system diagnostics. The Reefer Technician – T3 demonstrates strong technical competence, independence in task execution, and the ability to support junior technicians while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and operational efficiency. |

| Detailed Tasks |
Technical Responsibilities:
1. Body Repair • Diagnose and repair structural damage to reefer truck bodies, including dent removal, panel replacement, and frame alignment. • Use advanced repair tools such as hydraulic jacks and pneumatic hammers to restore vehicle structure and integrity.
2. Tail Lift Troubleshooting and Repair • Diagnose and repair mechanical and hydraulic tail lift components, including cylinders, motors, sensors, and control switches. • Perform functional testing using diagnostic equipment to ensure reliability after repair.
3. Refrigeration System Diagnostics • Conduct advanced diagnostics on Direct Drive (DD) and Diesel Truck (DT) units using gauges and electronic measuring devices. • Troubleshoot compressor failures, refrigerant leaks, electrical faults, and control system issues.
4. Tool and Equipment Proficiency • Operate advanced tools such as multimeters, welding machines, and diagnostic instruments. • Perform routine inspection and maintenance of tools to ensure accuracy and reliability.
5. Maintenance and Servicing • Implement preventive maintenance schedules for reefer and tail lift systems. • Troubleshoot and repair refrigeration, fuel, and electrical system faults. • Optimize system performance through testing, calibration, and adjustments.
6. Health & Safety Compliance • Ensure strict compliance with safety standards during complex repair and diagnostic activities. • Lead safety briefings and conduct inspections for assigned tasks or projects.
7. Documentation and Reporting • Prepare accurate technical reports for repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance activities. • Review the work of junior technicians and provide guidance and constructive feedback. |

| Qualifications |
Education Level: Diploma or technical certification in refrigeration, automotive, or related field preferred.
Experience: 3–5 years of experience in reefer truck repair and maintenance, including Carrier or similar refrigeration units.
Knowledge Required: • Strong knowledge of reefer truck systems and refrigeration principles. • Proficient understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. |
