Position Overview
This operator monitors the entire fuel system through the SCADA control system. They oversee pump operation, pressure levels, tank inventories, alarms, and system performance in real time to ensure safe and continuous fuel distribution in compliance with GACA operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Monitoring the entire fuel system through SCADA control system
Overseeing pump operations and system performance in real time
Monitoring pressure levels throughout the distribution network
Tracking tank inventories and fuel movements
Responding to system alarms and alerts per GACA procedures
Coordinating with field operators and technicians
Ensuring safe and continuous fuel distribution
Recording operational data and system events for GACA compliance
Identifying and reporting system anomalies
Managing remote control of pumps, valves, and equipment
Following GACA emergency response protocols
Qualifications & Requirements
Technical diploma in Instrumentation, Automation, or related field
Minimum 3-5 years of experience with SCADA or control systems
Strong knowledge of process control and automation
Understanding of fuel distribution systems and operations
Familiarity with GACA operational requirements and procedures
Excellent monitoring and problem-solving skills
Ability to work under pressure and respond to emergencies
Good communication and coordination abilities
Proficiency in computer systems and control software
