ViaLighting is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented employee or graduate to join our team as an Assistant Sales Support Engineer. This is an excellent entry-point into the lighting industry, where you will play a key support role in creating technical and commercial proposals. You will learn to prepare competitive offers, coordinate with suppliers, and ensure high-quality submissions to help our sales team win projects. We provide comprehensive training and mentorship for the right candidate.
 
Main Roles & Responsibilities
Assist senior engineers in reviewing project specifications, BOQs, and drawings to help prepare accurate lighting offers.
Support the coordination with suppliers and manufacturers to gather quotations, technical data sheets, and product documentation.
Help prepare cost comparisons and ensure all documentation aligns with project requirements.
Contribute to the development of technical submittals and other documentation for client review.
Maintain organized digital records of all quotations, offers, and technical files.
Learn to provide technical support for the sales team during the proposal phase.
Assist in providing basic after-sales support by helping to address client inquiries and simple product-related issues.
Participate in internal meetings and training sessions to build industry knowledge.
 
 
Qualifications & Experience:
Recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field. (Graduates of 2023/2024 are encouraged to apply).
0-1 year of experience in a technical or support role; experience through academic projects or internships is a plus. Fresh graduates are welcome.
A foundational understanding or strong academic interest in lighting principles and products is preferred.
Good proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel, Word, and Outlook). Familiarity with AutoCAD or Dialux is a significant advantage.
Eagerness to learn about lighting brands, suppliers, and international standards.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
A proactive team player with excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
Ability to manage multiple support tasks and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
