Chocolake Company, a leading chocolate manufacturer in Jordan, is seeking to hire a Senior Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Specialist.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement occupational health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures within the company.
Conduct risk assessments at work sites and develop mitigation plans.
Investigate workplace accidents and injuries and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
Implement periodic inspection programs to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Organize and deliver training and awareness programs for employees on occupational health and safety.
Monitor health and safety performance indicators and report findings to management.
Ensure compliance with local regulations and instructions issued by the relevant authorities.
Prepare safety reports, conduct risk analysis, and manage incident investigations.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Fire and Safety Engineering or any related field.
5–7 years of professional experience in occupational health and safety, including at least two years in supervisory or managerial roles.
Previous experience in the industrial or food sector is preferred.
Must hold a certified Occupational Health and Safety Specialist accreditation from the Ministry of Labor.
Good knowledge of local regulations related to occupational health, safety, and environmental practices.
Familiarity with management systems and standards such as ISO 45001 and ISO 14001, with ISO 9001 knowledge considered an advantage.
Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate with different departments.
Professional certifications such as NEBOSH IGC or equivalent are preferred.
