Role Summary 

The Junior QA Engineer will contribute to ensuring the quality, stability, and reliability of web applications through structured manual testing and close collaboration with cross-functional teams. This role involves executing functional, regression, and exploratory testing, identifying and documenting defects, and validating application behavior across browsers and devices. Working within an Agile environment, the Junior QA Engineer will support continuous product improvement while progressively developing foundational knowledge in automated testing tools and methodologies under mentorship.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Conducting thorough manual testing of web applications, covering UI, functionality, regression, and exploratory scenarios
  • Writing, executing, and maintaining precise test cases while accurately reporting and documenting defects
  • Performing cross-browser and responsive testing to ensure consistent performance and user experience across devices
  • Utilizing browser developer tools to analyze console errors, network activity, and troubleshoot frontend issues
  • Collaborating closely with developers and product teams within an Agile environment to validate features and clarify requirements
  • Gradually acquiring hands-on experience in web test automation (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium) under structured mentorship

Requirements 

  • 1–2 years of hands-on experience in manual testing of web applications, or equivalent exposure through internships, academic projects, or practical coursework
  • Strong technical foundation in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Software Engineering (or a closely related discipline)
  • Solid understanding of web application architecture, including frontend-backend interactions and basic API concepts
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a structured, analytical approach to identifying defects, inconsistencies, and edge cases
  • Demonstrated motivation to build expertise in test automation over the long term

Recommended Qualifications

  • Foundational knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, enabling a better understanding of frontend behavior and testing scenarios
  • Practical experience with Postman or browser developer tools for inspecting network requests, testing APIs, and troubleshooting web applications
  • Exposure to any test automation framework (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Selenium), demonstrating readiness to transition from manual to automated testing
