Position Summary:

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing inventory levels of goods and services required by the organization. The role involves vendor management, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining cost efficiency while adhering to company policies and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Procurement Process:
    • Manage end-to-end procurement activities, including preparing purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and contracts.
    • Source and evaluate suppliers to ensure best pricing, quality, and delivery timelines.
    • Negotiate terms and agreements with vendors to secure favorable deals.
  2. Vendor Management:
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
    • Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
    • Conduct regular vendor evaluations to ensure compliance with company standards.
  3. Inventory Management:
    • Collaborate with inventory teams to monitor stock levels and avoid overstocking or shortages.
    • Coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure accurate and timely receipt of goods.
  4. Cost Management:
    • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement effective procurement strategies.
    • Monitor budgets and ensure procurement activities remain within financial constraints.
  5. Compliance and Documentation:
    • Ensure all procurement activities comply with internal policies and procedures.
    • Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and correspondence for audit purposes.
    • Stay updated with relevant regulations and market trends to ensure best practices.
  6. Collaboration and Reporting:
    • Work closely with other departments, including operations, finance, and supply chain, to fulfill procurement needs.
    • Provide regular reports on procurement activities, including cost analysis and supplier performance.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
    • Prior experience in retail, health, beauty, or FMCG industries is an advantage.
  • Skills:
    • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
    • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Languages: Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
