Network Supervisor

Job Summary:

 

The Network Supervisor is responsible to maintain and administer the enterprise network, including user accounts, security, folder/file permissions, server virus protection, data backup and data integrity, server redundancy, and the monitoring of Network performance. Moreover, he/she will oversee and maintain all assets related to the enterprise network, including servers, switches, SAN devices, etc. and will supervise the support of day-to-day operations of desktop applications used by end users.


 

Responsibilities:

  •  Oversee and direct the design, deployment and maintenance of KKF’s network and unified communications infrastructure.
  • Oversee the installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of network and unified communications infrastructure.
  • Monitor and manage systems operations, performance, security, reliability and accessibility, ensuring maximum availability, safety and performance.
  • Implement and maintain policies and best practices related to network and communications security.
  • Research, analyze, recommend and implement software, hardware, tools, systems and processes to provide a state-of-the-art collaboration experience.
  • Carry out all activities related to the management of networks and unified communication systems.
  • Support and manage firewall environments in line with security policies.
  • Responsible for the fixed assets of network and communication infrastructure equipment and their inventory activities.
  • Prepare annual budget requirements related to information technology networks and company communications requirements.
  • Purchase IT network and communications equipment and software as needed to meet KKF’s requirements.
  • Liaise with management staff, support staff, technical staff or vendors to resolve issues as required.
  • Design Network infrastructure, Network Monitoring, Servers Health monitoring, Firewall Log monitoring, Firewall Policies, etc. 
  • Manage and oversee network security, policies, user groups, desktop policies, and naming conventions. 
  • Control spamming and centralized anti-virus servers
  • Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments including systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations.
  • Perform disaster recovery operations and data backups when required.
  • Design and integrate software that protects data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning, and implementing network security measures.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve hardware, software, and other network and system problems.
  • Monitor network performance to determine if adjustments need to be made.
  • Operate master consoles to monitor the performance of networks and computer systems.

 

Qualification:

 

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a related field.   

 

 

Experience:

 

  1. 3-5 years of experience as IT Network
  2. Experience in VMware vSphere administration with a solid understanding of storage
  3. Experience with Endpoint security and a good understanding of Web Application Firewalls (WAF).

 

 

Knowledge:

 

  1. CCNP Switching and Routing.
  2. Strong Knowledge of Datacenter architecture and cabling.
  3. Knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructure
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Active Directory and Azure Cloud administration

 

Trainings & Professional Certificates:

 

  • Certificate in at least one Wireless technology (Cisco, Huawei or Aruba).
  • Certificate in Virtualization technologies like VMWare, Hyper-V and/or Nutanix. 
  • Certificate in one of the firewall technologies ex: Palo Alto, Cisco, Sophos or Fortinet.
