Position Overview
The Aviation Fuel Farm Manager is responsible for the overall management and safe operation of the fuel storage facility and hydrant system within the airport. This role includes supervising staff, ensuring compliance with JIG standards, GACA regulations, and airport requirements, coordinating with airport authorities and airlines, and maintaining uninterrupted fuel supply to aircraft operations.
Key Responsibilities
Overall management and safe operation of the fuel storage facility and hydrant system
Supervising and leading fuel farm staff and operations teams
Ensuring compliance with JIG (Joint Inspection Group) standards and GACA regulations
Maintaining compliance with airport safety and operational requirements
Coordinating with airport authorities, airlines, and fuel suppliers
Maintaining uninterrupted fuel supply to aircraft operations
Managing budgets, resources, and operational planning
Implementing safety protocols and emergency response procedures in accordance with GACA requirements
Overseeing fuel inventory management and procurement
Conducting performance reviews and staff development
Liaising with GACA and other regulatory bodies for audits and inspections
Ensuring all operations meet GACA licensing and certification requirements
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Aviation Management, or related field
Minimum 10 years of experience in aviation fuel operations
At least 5 years in a managerial or supervisory role
Thorough knowledge of JIG standards and GACA aviation fuel regulations
Understanding of GACA safety management systems and compliance requirements
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and coordination abilities
Understanding of HSE management systems
Proficiency in operational planning and budgeting
Experience working within GACA regulatory framework preferred
