Overview

The Drupal Technical Team Lead at Vardot is pivotal in driving our Drupal-centered initiatives and projects. This role demands technical mastery, especially within the Drupal ecosystem, and an ability to ensure seamless integration with complementary technologies. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Define and implement Drupal best practices and technical solutions. 
  • Spearheaded Drupal project audits from Sales and can oversee deployment releases. 
  • Lead Drupal-centric code reviews, ensuring adherence to industry standards. 
  • Foster collaboration with DevOps, particularly regarding Drupal site maintenance and uptime. 
  • Decompose Drupal client requirements into actionable development tasks. 
  • Uphold and refine Vardot's Drupal development standards and methodologies. 
  • Drive innovation by automating Drupal-centric repetitive tasks. 
  • Stay current with the latest Drupal updates, modules, and community trends. 
  • Develop and refine Vardot's Drupal-based internal tools, monitoring systems, and dashboards. 
  • Ensure seamless integration of Drupal with other platforms and technologies. 
  • Streamline the handover of Drupal projects and collaborate closely with Project and Account Managers. 
  • Oversee Drupal support tiers, leveraging tools like JIRA for optimal project management. 
  • Advocate for Drupal best practices, training, and knowledge sharing within the team. 
  • Interface with Account Managers for accurate Drupal project quotations and client requirement translations. 

Requirements: 

  • Mastery in both oral and written English communication. 
  • Familiarity with digital communication tools relevant to the Drupal community. 
  • Deep analytical skills with a focus on web solutions. 
  • Collaborative mindset with an emphasis on team projects. 
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, especially during site updates or migrations. 
  • Commitment to personal growth within the web stacks and broader web tech ecosystems. 
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Drupal's architecture, modules, and community standards. 
  • Proficiency with the LAMP stack and its integration with Drupal. 
  • Expertise in front-end technologies related to Drupal: HTML5, Javascript, CSS3, Bootstrap, Sass, and Gulp. 
  • Firm grasp of web technologies like HTTP/S, REST, and JSON, particularly as they interface with Drupal. 
  • Solid experience with GIT in a Drupal development context and familiarity with CI-CD practices. 
  • Proven track record in leading large Drupal projects across versions. 
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, especially within a team of Drupal developers.
