Job Title: Commis Chef / Central Kitchen
Job Objective:
As a Commis Chef working in the Central Kitchen, you are responsible for storing ingredients and ensuring that preparation and storage areas are clean at all times.
To be a successful kitchen employee, you must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy in your work.
Tasks and Duties:
- Clean and sanitize all preparation areas, kitchen walls, stoves, sinks, ovens, grills, refrigerators, freezers, and all tools, equipment, and mixers.
-Ensure that refrigerators, freezers, and storage areas are clean and organized according to the FIFO system (First-In, First-Out, using older materials before new materials).
-Wash soiled tools, cutting boards, utensils, cooking equipment, and all tools used inside the Central Kitchen.
-Clean and sanitize walls and work surfaces after every use ("Clean as you go"), as per internal operating policy.
-Clean and mop floors as needed.
