Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Chargehand (Electrical) to join our building construction team in Amman, Jordan. The successful candidate will oversee electrical work on-site, ensuring that all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise in electrical systems, and the ability to coordinate with other construction teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate electrical installation activities on construction sites.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with safety standards, building codes, and project specifications.
- Assist in planning and organizing daily work schedules for electrical teams.
- Inspect electrical work for quality and adherence to technical drawings and specifications.
- Report progress and issues to the site supervisor or project manager.
- Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and procedures.
- Manage and motivate electrical workers, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in electrical work within the building construction industry.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, safety standards, and building codes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
Additional Requirements:
- Relevant technical or vocational training in electrical work.
- Prior experience as a Chargehand or similar supervisory role is preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours as required by project deadlines.
