Junior DevOps Engineer (Entry-Level)

 Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Assist in configuring and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to support automated deployments across different environments. 
  2. Support containerization and orchestration processes using modern tools. Help manage and maintain virtualized environments. 
  3. Participate in application release processes and ensure smooth deployments.
  4.  Monitor applications and infrastructure and report issues or performance concerns.
  5.  Provide basic technical support and assist in training team members when needed.
  6.  Perform routine backups and assist in system audits. Contribute to creating and updating technical documentation for internal systems and projects.

 Technical Skills (Basic to Intermediate):

  1.  Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts and how they integrate with software systems.
  2.  Ability to use AI-powered tools (e.g., ChatGPT) to assist in automation, scripting, and troubleshooting tasks.
  3.  Familiarity with operating systems such as Linux and Windows. 
  4. Basic understanding of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins or similar). 
  5. Exposure to containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker). 
  6. Basic knowledge of virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, or VirtualBox).
  7.  Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git).
  8.  Awareness of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and basic deployment concepts. Familiarity with web servers (e.g., IIS, Nginx, or Apache). 
  9. Basic knowledge of databases (e.g., MS SQL, MySQL, Oracle, Postgres).
  10.  Understanding of networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, firewalls, routing basics). Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, or similar). 

Qualifications:

  1.  Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
  2.  0–2 years of experience. Relevant certifications (e.g., RHCSA, Cloud, AI Fundamentals) are a plus. 

Soft Skills: 

  1. Good communication and teamwork skills.
  2.  Strong problem-solving and willingness to learn. 
  3. Ability to work under pressure.
  4.  Willingness to work outside regular hours, including weekends and holidays, when required.
