Content Manager

Overview:

Vardot is looking for a Content Manager who can own our entire content function — from long-form thought leadership to industry reports, blogs, web copy, product messaging, case studies, and ad creatives.

You’ll bring strategic clarity, editorial discipline, and storytelling chops. You’re just as comfortable drafting a 2,000-word industry POV as you are writing sharp landing page copy or a performance ad. You know how to brief writers, manage workloads, review submissions, and maintain consistency across channels.

This is a role for someone who writes exceptionally well, understands our domain (Drupal, digital experience design, customer journey, digital transformation), and knows how to use AI as a force multiplier — not a shortcut.


Responsibilities:

Content Strategy & Editorial Direction

  • Shape Vardot’s content roadmap across websites, campaigns, social, SEO, and demand generation
  • Turn business priorities and insights into actionable content themes
  • Maintain editorial standards, tone of voice, and brand consistency
  • Build and refine content guidelines, playbooks, and templates

Content Creation

  • Write high-quality thought leadership, industry reports, whitepapers, and long-form content
  • Produce blogs, landing pages, case studies, email copy, and ad creatives
  • Craft messaging frameworks and value propositions for campaigns and product launches
  • Collaborate with SMEs, marketing leads, and leadership to shape narratives 

Content Management

  • Manage the content pipeline end-to-end — briefs, drafts, edits, production
  • Review and edit content created by internal team members and external writers
  • Guide a junior content resource and help them grow
  • Coordinate with design, SEO, and demand gen to ensure content supports campaign goals
  • Oversee publication calendars and ensure deadlines are met

AI & Workflow Efficiency

  • Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Jasper, etc.) to accelerate research, ideation, and editing
  • Build efficient AI-supported workflows for content production
  • Maintain quality and originality while leveraging AI intelligently

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with SEO to align content with search opportunity and intent
  • Support demand gen with campaign content and performance-oriented copy
  • Work closely with design on visual storytelling and assets
  • Liaise with leadership for high-stakes messaging and reports
     

Requirements:

  • 6–8+ years of experience in content writing, editing, and content management
  • Strong writing portfolio across thought leadership, blogs, web copy, and short-form copy
  • Experience in the digital experience, CMS, Drupal, digital transformation, or tech consulting space
  • Ability to run the content function end-to-end with minimal oversight
  • Experience leading or mentoring at least one team member
  • Familiarity with SEO principles and how content drives organic growth
  • Strong research skills and the ability to work with technical teams
  • Comfortable using AI as part of the workflow without compromising quality
  • Excellent editorial judgment, attention to detail, and ability to simplify complex topics
  • High ownership mindset and a bias for creating impactful content
