Shift Leader

Job Summary:

The Shift Leader is responsible for managing and overseeing fueling operations during their assigned shift, ensuring all activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. This role involves supervising fueling personnel, coordinating tasks, and ensuring that fueling schedules are met without delays. The Shift Leader is also responsible for monitoring safety practices, conducting routine inspections, and ensuring that all fueling equipment is in good working order. Additionally, they serve as the point of contact for resolving operational issues, handling emergencies, and maintaining communication with the Operations Supervisor and other stakeholders. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential for success in this role.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Promote and lead HSSE performance at KAIA and ensure compliance to 

ALSHAMS, IATA, JIG and local legislation by implementing the followings:

1. AlShams HSSE policies & guidelines

2. Report all incidents timely as per Incident reporting guidelines.

3. Conduct Toolbox Talks with the staff.

4. Monitor implementation of controls developed to manage and reduce risk associate 

    with into-plane hazards, as per the risk assessment developed for KAIA operations.

  • Plan & coordinate the activities of the manpower for the timely & efficient execution 

of into-plane operations.

  • Plan the utilization of all the equipment (Fuellers & Dispensers) equally so that all are 

used proportionately.

  • Coordinate the implementation of all quality control tests as required by ALSHAMS

Aviation Operations Standards and maintain appropriate records of same.

  • To conduct Safety inspection spot checks on flights to supervise the performance of the 

shift's manpower and equipment. Coach to ensure that all personnel are within an 

acceptable level of competency to carry out the designated tasks and provide timely 

feedback.

  • Monitor the performance of the equipment to ensure that all are within acceptable level 

of fitness for carrying out designated tasks and to provide proactive feedback to avoid unwanted break-down.

  • Perform Daily Sales Report for complete stock accounting with Loss/Gain calculation. In 

case of abnormal loss/gain, the matter to be investigated and recorded with proper 

justification. To be communicated to ARAMCO and AlShams Management.

  • Establish and promote relations with the Customers and local authorities for smooth 

operation.

  • Perform and accept any other task/s assigned by the management time to time.
  • Raise performance & awareness for operators.
  • No complaints or delays from our customer.


Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Diploma or graduate.
  • 4 Years of experience in similar position at a reputable organization.
