SEO Manager

Overview: 

Vardot is looking for an experienced SEO Manager who can take full ownership of our global organic growth. This isn’t a narrow keyword-optimizing role — this is a strategic operator who understands the full SEO ecosystem and can drive measurable results across markets, products, and content.

You’ll shape the SEO roadmap, run deep technical and content audits, guide our writers on what to create and why, and execute the day-to-day work across on-page, off-page, and technical SEO. You’ll be the person the organization looks to for direction on how we grow search visibility and organic pipeline.


Responsibilities:

  • SEO Strategy & Leadership
  • Build and execute Vardot’s SEO strategy across global markets
  • Translate business goals into organic growth targets and clear quarterly plans
  • Prioritize high-value opportunities (technical fixes, content plays, link acquisition, etc.)
  • Partner with Marketing, Product, and Engineering to drive site and content improvements

On-Page SEO

  • Lead keyword research, topic clustering, and intent mapping
  • Optimize existing content (metadata, internal links, structure, schema)
  • Collaborate with content writers and SMEs to steer high-quality, search-matched content
  • Define and maintain on-page SEO guidelines for the content team

Technical SEO

  • Conduct site audits, diagnose issues, and work with developers on fixes
  • Manage crawlability, indexation, site architecture, and Core Web Vitals
  • Implement structured data and maintain technical hygiene across domains

Off-Page SEO

  • Build and manage a sustainable link acquisition strategy
  • Identify partnership and PR-driven link building opportunities
  • Monitor and improve domain authority and backlink quality
  • Protect the site from spammy or toxic links

Analytics & Reporting

  • Own all SEO dashboards and KPIs
  • Track rankings, CTR, impressions, traffic, and conversions
  • Run experiments, test hypotheses, and quantify the impact
  • Present insights and recommendations to leadership

Requirements:

  • 5–8+ years of hands-on SEO experience with clear results
  • Ability to run the entire SEO function independently — strategy + execution
  • Deep knowledge of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO
  • Strong command of tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, GSC, GA4, Screaming Frog, and Looker Studio
  • Experience guiding writers, shaping content calendars, and improving content quality
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with developers, designers, and marketers
  • Analytical mindset, strong problem-solver, and comfortable with complex SEO challenges
  • Excellent communication skills — clear, concise, and able to simplify SEO for non-experts
