Role Purpose Manage and execute RF and capacity design for IBS, WiFi, and PTP solutions, including Civil Works (CW), Electromechanical (EM), and IP planning where required.
Detailed Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare site design estimations in line with customer specifications, standards, and KPI requirements
Conduct site survey, prepare layouts and report generation for DAS, WiFi, and Wireless and Civil/EM scope.
Conduct site surveys and prepare layouts and technical reports for DAS, WiFi, wireless, and civil/EM scopes.
Design and planning IBS/WiFi site using iBwave using various solutions such as but not limited to (Active, Passive, RRU Passive, Small cell, TETRA, WiFi).
Design and link budget calculation for wireless scope using various solutions including but not limited to (Pathloss, Redline Link Budget Tool, …etc.) or any recommended software by the client/vendor.
Final site design package, ISR/TSSR/LOS reporting and Material BOQ generation.
Perform walk test analysis and provide recommendations for performance improvement and troubleshooting
Design optimization as per site needs & configuration.
Prepare final acceptance documentation, including (Design modification, AS Built, CAD drawing) & verify customer specs validity before submission.
Site Installation progress follow up and reporting.
Site acceptance testing & final acceptance reporting.
Maintain and update site databases, including installation progress, material consumption, and handover status.
Assists Civil design team for planned solution requirements.
Preparing distributed antenna system (DAS) plan & design for TETRA/GSM/UMTS/LTE network using Visio, AutoCAD and iBwave design tool.
Link & power budget calculation & bill of quantity arrangement.
Responsible for documentation arrangement & preparation (TSSR, design package, DAS Installation quality document, walk test result report document).
Pre-site survey, RF coverage survey (frequency scan test, walk test review).
Responsible for handling IBS and WiFi technical issues, including coordination, clarification, and design validation & acceptance and standard negotiation with customer etc. and act as a technical interface to customer if needed.
Familiar with walk test execution and analysis using tools such as TEMS or equivalent tools and results performance review & analysis (Rx Level, Rx Qual, RSCP, Ec/NO VSWR, PIM, RTWP KPI analyses).
Preparing a complete CFDED (Electromechanical, power and civil) design including:
Electrical design reports (load calculation, cable and CB sizing).
DC power analysis, (rectifier selection, battery sizing).
Power generator analysis.
UPS analysis.
Firefighting system calculation (FM200).
HVAC calculation.
Generate and estimate design BOQ.
Prepare the necessary drawings for the above design.
Site survey for Civil and Electromechanical scope.
Discussing all EM/CW design related issues with the client.
Leading/supervising the implementation team on field.
EM/CW market surveying and technical reviewing for new equipment.
