🔎 We are looking for a Manual QA Tester to join our team in Amman, Jordan, who will be responsible for writing and executing test cases to verify software functionality and performance, identifying and documenting software defects, collaborating with development teams, conducting various types of testing, including backend and database testing, and reviewing software documentation.
The role also includes participating in planning and estimation activities, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, validating software fixes, utilizing test management tools, and staying updated with industry trends.
Additionally, the Manual QA Tester will assist in troubleshooting issues, collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage and high-quality software delivery, participate in user acceptance testing, and work closely with customer support teams.
 👉 Education and Experience:   
Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field is preferred.
2-3 years of experience in software testing or a related role.
Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing concepts.
Experience in testing CPaaS platforms, SMS messaging services, communication systems, or messaging APIs is preferred.
👉  Key Responsibilities:
Write and execute test cases and scripts to verify software functionality and performance.
Identify, document, report, prioritize, and manage software defects and issues using defect tracking tools, such as Azure DevOps.
Collaborate with the Business and Development teams to understand software requirements, user requirements, and design specifications, and incorporate them into test scenarios.
Conduct functional, regression, smoke, usability, exploratory, compatibility, and ad hoc testing to ensure the software meets quality and compatibility standards.
 Assist in performance, load, stress, and security testing activities to support software scalability, reliability, and integrity.
Create, maintain, and execute test documentation, including test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test reports.
Participate in test planning and estimation activities to ensure efficient and effective testing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues, ensure timely resolution of critical issues, achieve comprehensive test coverage, and deliver high-quality software.
Validate and verify software fixes, enhancements, user manuals, release notes, and other software documentation.
Use test management tools to organize and track test cases, test execution, and defects.
Assist in the setup, configuration, creation, and maintenance of test environments and test data.
Assist in identifying and mitigating risks associated with software testing.
Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide support to users during testing phases.
Collaborate with customer support teams to investigate and reproduce customer-reported issues.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements, automation opportunities, and improvements to software development and testing processes.
Assist in troubleshooting and debugging issues throughout the software development lifecycle.
Participate in the evaluation and adoption of new technologies and testing methodologies.
Perform any other tasks as assigned by supervisors, demonstrating flexibility to meet evolving business needs and challenges.
Perform backend, database, and API testing; review and analyze system logs; investigate issues; and identify potential defects and root causes.
Test mobile applications across Android and iOS platforms, including installation, updates, permissions, notifications, network behavior, device compatibility, screen sizes, and operating system versions
