Job Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Site Engineer (Civil) to join our engineering team in Amman, Jordan. This entry-level position is designed to provide practical training and hands-on experience for recent graduates of Civil Engineering registered with the Jordan Engineers Association (JEA). The successful candidate will support construction site activities, learn project management skills, and ensure compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.
Training Description: This training aims to support recent Civil Engineering graduates in gaining practical experience at construction sites. The trainee will work under the supervision of the engineering team, learning how to manage site activities, coordinate with contractors, and ensure adherence to project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assist with daily construction activities, ensuring compliance with drawings and specifications.
- Learn and implement site safety procedures in accordance with regulations.
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and site workers.
- Prepare daily progress reports in collaboration with the project manager.
- Support quantity surveying tasks and material estimation.
- Review engineering drawings and report any conflicts or discrepancies.
- Understand and apply quality control procedures.
- Participate in resolving technical issues that arise on-site.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Prior internship or experience in construction site supervision is preferred.
- Knowledge of construction methods, safety standards, and quality assurance.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD is a plus.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
Working Conditions:
