Position Overview
The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the maintenance and reliability of critical fuel infrastructure. This includes pumps, valves, filtration systems, meters, hydrant pits, and control systems. The role also involves implementing preventive maintenance programs and responding to mechanical or operational faults while ensuring compliance with GACA maintenance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Ensuring maintenance and reliability of critical fuel infrastructure
Managing pumps, valves, filtration systems, meters, and hydrant pits
Overseeing control systems and automation equipment
Implementing preventive maintenance programs and schedules in accordance with GACA standards
Responding to mechanical and operational faults
Conducting root cause analysis for equipment failures
Managing spare parts inventory and procurement
Supervising maintenance technicians and contractors
Ensuring compliance with maintenance standards, procedures, and GACA requirements
Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation for regulatory inspections
Coordinating with GACA for equipment certifications and approvals
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
Minimum 5-8 years of experience in industrial maintenance
Experience with fuel systems, pumps, and pipeline networks preferred
Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance
Familiarity with SCADA systems and control automation
Understanding of GACA safety standards and maintenance best practices
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
Knowledge of GACA maintenance approval processes
