Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Supervisor, Broiler Health Care to oversee the health and well-being of broiler chickens within our operations. The successful candidate will ensure optimal health standards, implement disease prevention protocols, and collaborate with farm staff to maintain high-quality poultry production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assess the health status of broiler flocks regularly.
- Develop and implement health care plans and disease prevention strategies.
- Supervise vaccination and medication schedules in accordance with industry standards.
- Conduct health inspections and record keeping to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Train and guide farm staff on best practices for broiler health management.
- Coordinate with veterinary professionals for health assessments and emergencies.
- Analyze health data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Ensure adherence to safety and biosecurity protocols on the farm.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine, Animal Science, or related field.
- Proven experience in poultry health management, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of broiler disease prevention, treatment, and biosecurity measures.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in record keeping and data analysis.
