Position Title: Traffic Officer and Supervision Agent

Key Functions

 

Traffic Officer: 

  1. Monitor all terminal functions
  2. Ensure that all bags are corrected check-in
  3. Review passengers’ tickets, passport, visa
  4. Issue boarding pass
  5. Ensure that no duplicate boarding passes are issued.
  6. Weigh the baggage and ensure that the weight limit as per the company policy is not exceeded.
  7. Tag all bags and transfer them to be loaded onto the aircraft.
  8. Ensure dangerous goods are handled as per the company policy laid out.
  9. Supervised the handling Agent functions
  10. Monitor safety measures.
  11. Supervision of all airside’s operational activities
  12. Supervise all airside activities prior, during and after aircraft MVT
  13. Consider safety, security and quality in all activities.
  14. Ensure airside clear of FOD
  15. Ensure area under aircraft vicinity clear of any obstacles
  16. Control the MVT of GSE within the safety zone
  17. No smoking
  18. Prevent flames or photo flash equipment within 50 feet around the aircraft during aircraft fueling process.
  19. Preventing MVT of GSE may cause a spark of moving in the fuel safe area.
  20. Coordinate with cockpit, cabin crew, ground engineer and all ground personnel.
  21. Ensure fire extinguishers are available within reach during fueling.
  22. Ensure fire brighter is called immediately in case of fire or fuel spillage.
  23. Prepare load & trim sheet for aircraft.  (Reserved)

 

Supervision Agent:

  • Monitor progress and ensure services are correctly requested and delivered Supervise flight operations processes to provide operational efficiency.
  • Provide team support during over-load periods
  • Assist in coordinating day-to-day flight operations in accordance with all regulations and requirements.
  • Brief crews/customers on all aspects of flights.
  • Ensure Arab Wings Teams are always updated about status of their requested services and actual flights.
  • Ensure designated checklists are properly done and completed for each arrival and departure.
  • Coordinate with ops teams in case of flight delay, revision or/and cancellation.
  • Report to Ground Handling Directors & Ground Handling Manager, Accounts/Client Relations in case of service failure or major delay.
  • Communicate with employees and management in a clear and concise manner.
  • Stay updated on roster changes.
  • Coordinate and organize services with all stakeholders for handling, catering, fueling, and any other services as necessary.
  • Relay key points of communication between the Crew and the Arab Wings teams, to manage services, baggage handling and passenger handling on the airside.
  • Carry out baggage handling activities and baggage transfers as per the instructions received.
  • Ensure a high degree of customer service, attentiveness, speed, and control error rates, whilst maintaining consistency in services.

  1.  Safety-related duties

 

  • Ensure safety of clients, passengers, aircraft, Arab Wings personnel, equipment, communication devices and assets at all times.
  • Wear the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when on the airside, and as appropriate to the operational environment and service being performed.

 

  1. Internal management duties

 

  • Raise incidents, accidents, close calls or observations.
  • Maintain awareness and safety related to work area and other equipment.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director of Ground Operations and Ground handling Manager.

 

  1. Compliance-related duties

 

  • Adhere to the documented procedures of the organization or department and retain documented evidence related to the performance of their role.
  • The employee is expected to exercise their duty of care and must be aware of their health and safety responsibilities, accountability and authority; and shall comply with the policies and procedures outlined by the organization.
