Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Procurement Engineer to lead procurement activities within our building construction projects. The successful candidate will oversee procurement processes, manage supplier relationships, and ensure timely acquisition of quality materials and services to support project objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project requirements and company policies.
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers and vendors to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and prices with suppliers to achieve optimal value.
- Coordinate with project managers and engineering teams to determine procurement needs and specifications.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to delivery, quality, or contractual obligations.
- Manage procurement documentation, including purchase orders, contracts, and delivery schedules.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards in procurement activities.
- Prepare procurement reports and forecasts for management review.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in procurement within the building construction industry.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of procurement software and MS Office.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with local and international procurement regulations and standards.
Preferred Skills:
- Professional certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CSCP).
- Experience working on large-scale construction projects in Jordan or the Middle East.
