Department/Brand Profile

The Warehouse & Logistics Manager is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of warehouse and logistics operations. This position requires a strategic thinker with proven experience in managing inventory, coordinating logistics activities, and leading a high-performing team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient flow of goods, maintaining high service levels, and implementing cost-effective measures. From managing day-to-day warehouse activities to negotiating contracts with third-party logistics providers, the Warehouse & Logistics Manager will contribute to the overall success of the company by creating and maintaining a streamlined and effective supply chain.


Job Summary 

Warehouse Management:

  • Lead and manage day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of products.
  • Ensure the implementation and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) for efficient and safe warehouse activities.
  • Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization to enhance productivity and minimize handling costs.
  • Oversee the maintenance of accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and audits.

Logistics Coordination:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive logistics strategies to meet customer requirements and company objectives.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities, including transportation, distribution, and order fulfillment.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with third-party logistics providers, carriers, and suppliers.
  • Monitor and analyze transportation costs, service levels, and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.

Planning and Coordination:

  • Assist with the distribution, storage, delivery, and inspection of products.
  • Plan and organize with Brand Managers dock schedules for inbound/outbound freight.
  • Implement improvements to internal or external logistics systems.
  • Coordinate with other departments on logistics matters.
  • Plan future storage and transport requirements.
  • Coordinate with other departments in logistics-related matters.

Performance Monitoring and Improvement:

  • Monitor and control performance indicators, cost, process, quality, delivery, etc.
  • Review and analyze stock inaccuracies.
  • Monitor and control storage and warehousing capacity.
  • Ensure continual efficient operation of the warehouse.
  • Adopt and comply with industry standards and best practices.
  • Ensure accurate stock alignment between ERP and warehouse management system.

Cost Management:

  • Analyze all aspects of logistics operations for cost-effective and efficient means.
  • Minimize stock and inventory loss and wastage.
  • Minimize costs and expenses related to warehousing and transportation operations.
  • Develop risk management programs for supply continuity in emergencies.
  • Ensure organized and efficient transport of manpower, products, and assets.
  • Utilize inventory management and control systems for effective supply chain operations.

Personnel Management:

  • Oversee shipping, delivery, and warehouse personnel.
  • Build and lead a high-performing warehouse and logistics team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback. 
  • Train logistics personnel in roles and responsibilities.
  • Develop and monitor personnel budget.
  • Hold reporting staff accountable for executing their responsibilities.
  • Visit branches to monitor and maintain the quality of support and service.
  • Create and sustain working conditions that meet staff comfort and safety standards.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Maintain high standards of health, safety, hygiene, and security.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety and Environmental standards.
  • Develop a safe working environment proactively.
  • Maintain basic maintenance standards and comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Ensure stock level accuracy through policy implementation and controls.
  • Conduct investigations to improve safety procedures.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills – Selection Criteria

 

ESSENTIAL

PREFERRED

Education

  • Degree in Logistic, Supply Chain or related field, or a related field.

A Master’s in Business Administration will be considered an asset.

Experience

 

  • Three (3) to five (5) years of logistics experience.
  • Logistics, cost, and schedule control.

 

  • Use of data analytics and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
  • Software-based supervision of activities across the value chain.     

Certification and Licensure

 

 

Job-Specific Skills and Abilities

  • Proficient in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software. 
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices. 
  • Excellent communicator to all levels of management in the company.
  • Real listening skills, attention to detail, and respect for keeping information private.
  • Strong interpersonal skills that inspire commitment, collaboration, leadership team management, and teamwork.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems and expertise in optimizing warehouse operations.
  • Inventory management skills to control stock levels and minimize losses.
  • ·          KAB BAN and receiving knowledge. Knowledge of appropriate procedures for planning and optimizing logistical processes.
  • ·          Experience in Project and risk management; Inventory management; inventory optimization processes.
