Basic Function: 
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing safe, efficient, and evidence-based nursing care to patients in pre-hospital, clinical, or school-based environments in accordance with the Saudi Ministry of Health (MOH), Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) scope of practice, and company standards. Responsibilities include emergency response, triage, assessment, treatment, documentation, and continuous improvement of clinical quality indicators.

Principal Duties:
Clinical Care & Medical Practice
Provide holistic nursing care to patients in alignment with nursing process standards (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation).
Perform basic and advanced life support and emergency care (CPR, airway management, medication administration) within the approved Scope of Practice.
Conduct accurate triage and prioritization of patients during emergencies and inter-facility transfers.
Administer medications per the Seven Rights of Medication Administration, ensuring safe use of high-risk medications, narcotics, and adherence to reconciliation protocols.
Monitor patient vital signs, perform nursing interventions, and provide clinical updates to physicians.
Support infection prevention and control through proper PPE use, aseptic techniques, and environmental hygiene.
Maintain readiness for all medical emergencies, including disaster response, mass casualty incidents, and outbreak control.
Follow Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols, ensuring proper waste segregation, equipment maintenance, and workplace safety reporting.
Conduct daily checks of medical and safety equipment, report defects immediately.
Participate in fire, evacuation, and emergency response drills as mandated by HSE policy.
Maintain SCFHS license and required certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, PHTLS).
Participate in continuing professional development (CPD) and in-service training to ensure competency and skill updates.
Educate patients, students, and families on health promotion, disease prevention, and medication use where applicable (especially in school settings).
Mentor junior staff and contribute to clinical teaching programs.
Maintain detailed and accurate Patient Care Reports (PCRs) and clinic records.
Ensure availability and accountability of all consumables, medications, and equipment under charge.
Answer and route calls, compose clinical correspondence, and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
Attend meetings, workshops, and review sessions as directed by the Medical or Operations Director.
 
Health Monitoring & Documentation:              
Ensure accurate and detailed record-keeping in daily patient logs, including treatments, medications, and patient outcomes.
Maintain regular checks and logs, such as ECG checks, defibrillator functionality, and refrigerator temperature logs for medication integrity.
Monitor inventory levels of medical supplies, ensuring timely stock replenishment and readiness.
Medical Waste & Safety Protocols:    
Coordinate medical waste disposal in compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.
Conduct regular checks on first aid supplies and replenish as needed.
Emergency Medical Response & Patient Transfer:   
In emergency situations, assess patients and, if necessary, coordinate with physicians for patient transport to the nearest medical facility for further care.
Follow established protocols for emergency care, ensuring patients are stabilized and transferred promptly.

Collaboration & Reporting:    
Work closely with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) officers to manage health-related issues, particularly in remote areas where healthcare access is limited.
Communicate effectively with the project manager and medical team during daily briefings and provide regular reports on patient care and medical situations.
Assist in the development of patient care plans, including assessment, intervention, implementation, and evaluation.

QHSE & Compliance
Participate in the Quality Improvement (QI) Program by collecting and reporting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as response times, medication errors, and patient satisfaction.
Report and document any near-misses, adverse events, or medication errors per policy.
Uphold patient confidentiality, dignity, and rights always.
Demonstrate professionalism, punctuality, and accountability in all duties.
Adhere to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), dress code, and behavioral standards.
Avoid conflicts of interest, unauthorized disclosure of information, and any actions contrary to company policy.
Report unethical, unsafe, or discriminatory practices through the appropriate reporting channels.
Implement and maintain JCI and CBAHI-compliant documentation, ensuring confidentiality, completeness, and traceability.
Support clinical audits, patient safety rounds, and mock drills.
Promote and apply the Five Moments for Hand Hygiene and all infection control policies.
Comply with all internal policies covering Infection Control, Incident Reporting, Occupational Safety, and Clinical Governance.
Ensure that all equipment checks, inventory logs, and vehicle/clinic maintenance tasks are completed and recorded.
Demonstrate awareness of the Emergency Response Plan, Fire Safety Plan, and Waste Management Procedures.
Promote a culture of zero harm and continuous safety improvement.

Inventory & Facility Management:      
Perform regular checks of clinic equipment, ensuring all tools are functioning and available for use.
Conduct monthly inventories to track stock levels of medical supplies and ensure the clinic is well-equipped to handle medical emergencies.
Refill clinic stocks to maintain the availability of critical supplies.
