Sr. Sales Representative

Purpose: 

The Sr. Sales Representative executes sales strategies, builds strong client and distributor relationships, addresses customer inquiries, and conducts market research, while preparing proposals and sales forecasts.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to meet targets and promote business growth to establish a clear direction for sales efforts that drives revenue and supports overall business objectives.
  •  Build and nurture strong relationships with distributors, and clients to foster loyalty and trust to create a supportive network that encourages repeat business and strengthens brand reputation.
  • Address client inquiries about credit terms, stock availability, and pricing while conducting site visits to assess needs and promote products and services to ensure clients have the information needed for informed decision-making and to demonstrate a commitment to understanding their unique requirements.
  • Conduct extensive market research to identify trends, competitor offerings, and customer preferences to stay ahead of market dynamics and inform strategic planning with insights that drive competitive advantage.
  • Create and present proposals to clients, drawing on previous success in estimating, selling, and marketing HVAC solutions to effectively communicate the value of Shaker's offerings and tailor solutions to meet specific client needs.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly sales forecasts and backlogs, ensuring the achievement of monthly and annual sales objectives to provide visibility into sales performance and facilitate proactive adjustments to strategies as needed.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms for both the company and clients to ensure mutually beneficial agreements that foster long-term relationships and enhance profitability.
  •  Collaborate with marketing and product teams to ensure sales strategies align with organizational goals to create a unified approach that leverages marketing insights and product capabilities to optimize sales effectiveness.
  • Uphold high standards of business ethics and professionalism in all interactions to maintain Shaker's reputation for integrity and trustworthiness in the market.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics and generate regular reports for management, highlighting achievements and identifying areas for improvement to provide management with actionable insights that support decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, product developments, and the competitive landscape to maintain a strong market position to ensure Shaker adapts to changes in the market and leverages opportunities for growth and innovation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • 5 years of experience in a sales role, preferably within the HVAC industry or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, market trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with clients, distributors, and industry partners.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Experience in preparing proposals, sales forecasts, and reports.
  • Ability to conduct market research and analyse customer needs effectively.
