Job Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our Financial Operations Unit. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, supporting budgeting processes, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare journal entries and review accounting transactions to ensure compliance with approved financial policies.
Prepare and review periodic financial reports (monthly, quarterly, and annual).
Support the preparation of budgets and financial reports for various programs and projects.
Monitor expenses and revenues, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
Contribute to the preparation of reports for donors and regulatory bodies.
Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in project- or program-based environments.
Proficiency in accounting systems and a solid understanding of local financial regulations.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
