- Review medical prescriptions from doctors to ensure their accuracy, dosage, and compliance with the diagnosis.
- Supervise the pharmacy technician who prepares prescriptions and provides instructions for use.
- Provide information to medication users about drug interactions, side effects, storage, and usage.
- Maintain the quality of procedures, ensure drug inventory, and dispose of hazardous waste.
- Ensure that information is documented and that there is up-to-date information on drug inventory, costs, and periodic inventory.
- Provide medical information to patients and the community.
- Document dispensed medications on the appropriate form.
- Document information on the electronic system used in the clinic.
- Conduct continuous checks of drug inventory and maintain the required level of medications.
- Order medications based on consumption at a quarterly rate.
- Submit monthly consumption reports to the Commission and the International Medical Association that grants medication to the Arab Medical Relief Association.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the surrounding environment in accordance with the principles of healthcare.
- Ensure that hazardous medical waste is disposed of properly.
- Provide necessary information on health maintenance and disease prevention instructions.
- Ensure that medications are stored and classified according to the principles followed in healthcare institutions.
- Ensure that the environment is suitable for storing medications and monitor the temperature, humidity, and lighting to ensure that medications are stored properly in the pharmacy and drug store, especially refrigerated medications, and ensure that they are in a suitable place according to laws and regulations.
- Commit to attending workshops and educational sessions to develop skills.
- Ensure the effectiveness of inventory management, reduce waste, and use time effectively to determine the period of medication depletion before reaching the point of complete depletion of inventory.
- Track the movement of medications from inside to inventory to outside of inventory and the location of medication dispensing.
- Track the expiration date of medications and document damaged medications from quantity, cost, and disposal method.
- Conduct the monthly inventory agreed upon with the Commission and the medication-granting party.
- Monitor the use of drug parcels, if any, inside the clinic.
- Provide daily reports to doctors on drug inventory so that prescriptions can be controlled in a suitable way according to the patient's needs and to effectively exploit the quantities of medication.
- Perform any other tasks required by the administration.
