Job Summary
Demand Forecasting & Planning
• Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using statistical models and market intelligence.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to align on forecast assumptions for fashion and footwear categories.
• Monitor and adjust forecasts based on trends, seasonality, new launches, and promotions specific to the retail fashion industry.
• Identify demand fluctuations and communicate findings to relevant departments.
Data Analysis & Reporting
• Analyze historical sales and product lifecycle data (sell-in/sell-out) for fashion and footwear categories.
• Present monthly reports on forecast accuracy, stock health, and performance variances by category, brand, and location.
• Utilize ERP, Excel, and data visualization tools to support decision-making.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Coordinate closely with Merchandising, Procurement, and Inventory Management to ensure balanced stock levels across stores.
• Provide input for seasonal product planning and markdown strategy.
• Support New Product Launches with detailed demand estimates and alignment meetings.
Process Improvement
• Drive improvements in the demand planning process for fashion/footwear retail using best practices and automation tools.
• Recommend actions to reduce stockouts, overstock, and obsolete inventory.
• Participate in system upgrades and planning tool implementation.
Other Responsibilities
• Investigate forecast inaccuracies and propose corrective actions.
• Support risk assessments related to demand volatility and retail trends.
• Assist in developing SOPs specific to demand planning in fashion retail.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Education
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Demand Planning, Forecasting, or Supply Chain Management, preferably in the retail fashion and/or footwear industry.
Certification and Licensure (Preferred but not required)
• Professional certifications such as:
* Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM)
* Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
* Or equivalent certifications in forecasting, analytics, or supply chain.
