Purpose:
The Senior Project Engineer role is to manage energy efficiency and replacement projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and client needs while optimizing resources and delivering high-quality results.
Responsibilities:
• Develop project plans including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, to ensure efficient execution of energy-saving measures.
• Oversee energy efficiency projects to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery according to specifications.
• Identify and recommend energy-saving opportunities to optimize energy usage and reduce costs with sustainable solutions.
• Manage resources (financial, human, material) to optimize project outcomes.
• Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to secure favorable terms and high-quality deliverables.
• Collaborate with vendors to ensure the timely availability of parts and services, preventing delays.
• Monitor ECM performance to ensure they deliver expected energy savings and benefits.
• Conduct reviews and audits to validate project outcomes and ensure compliance with performance guarantees.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans to minimize disruptions.
• Address maintenance issues in collaboration with clients and management to ensure smooth post-project operations.
• Coordinate communication among stakeholders to maintain alignment and resolve issues swiftly.
• Maintain strong client relationships to address concerns and ensure satisfaction throughout the project.
• Provide technical expertise in energy efficiency technologies and best practices to support decision-making.
• Analyze new RFPs to assess project feasibility and alignment with organizational goals.
• Manage team roles and responsibilities to enhance efficiency and clarify duties.
• Promote a safe working environment and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Follow up on handover documents to ensure all project requirements and client specifications are met.
• Prepare detailed technical and financial reports to summarize project outcomes and performance.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, promoting high standards and a positive organizational culture.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Energy Management, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• PMP, LEED, or similar project management/certification is a plus.
• 5-7 years of experience in energy efficiency projects, especially HVAC and lighting systems.
• Strong project management skills, including resource allocation and risk mitigation.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with vendors and clients.
• Proficient in M&V protocols, energy auditing, and Saudi energy efficiency regulations.
• Skilled in project management tools, energy modelling software, and MS Office.
• Fluent in English both written and verbal; Arabic is a plus.
