Job Description
 We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Assistant Laundry Manager to join our team. In this role, you will assist the Laundry Manager in overseeing all laundry operations, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and efficiency. You will manage staff, coordinate laundry services, maintain inventory, and ensure the smooth running of the laundry department to meet the needs of both the hotel and its guests.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in overseeing the daily operations of the laundry department, ensuring timely and efficient cleaning of linens, uniforms, and guest laundry.
Supervise and train laundry staff to ensure quality standards and efficiency.
Monitor laundry processes and equipment to ensure proper operation and maintenance.
Maintain inventory levels of laundry supplies and chemicals, and reorder as necessary.
Ensure that all laundry equipment is regularly serviced and maintained according to safety and health standards.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure the timely collection and delivery of laundry.
Handle any guest laundry requests and ensure exceptional service.
Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and quality control standards.
Maintain accurate records of laundry transactions, inventory, and maintenance schedules.
Assist in preparing schedules for laundry staff and ensure proper coverage at all times.
Report any issues or concerns to the Laundry Manager for resolution.
Ensure that laundry is delivered on time and in excellent condition.
Perform any other tasks or duties as assigned by the Laundry Manager.
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in hospitality or related field is preferred.
Proven experience in a laundry operation or in a similar supervisory role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
Knowledge of laundry equipment, chemicals, and safety procedures.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to manage staff effectively and ensure team efficiency.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Skills/Experience
Previous experience as an Assistant Laundry Manager or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
Knowledge of laundry operations, equipment maintenance, and inventory management.
Familiarity with laundry quality control standards and guest service expectations.
Basic knowledge of budgeting and cost control.
