We are seeking a motivated and skilled Demi Chef de Partie to join our culinary team. As a Demi Chef de Partie, you will assist the Chef de Partie in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food in your assigned section. You will play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of food quality and consistency while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to advance their culinary careers and gain hands-on experience in a professional kitchen environment.Key Responsibilities
• Assist the section chef in performing routine duties.
• Prepare and cook food according to the menu and the restaurant’s high standards.
• Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented in accordance with recipes and specifications.
• Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure consistency and quality control.
• Supervise junior kitchen staff and assist in training and development.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in your section and throughout the kitchen.
• Assist in inventory management, ensuring stock levels are monitored and orders are placed as needed.
• Adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards and regulations.
• Work with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service.
• Be proactive in suggesting improvements and menu items for the kitchen’s success.
•Check all equipment and utensils for their condition, functionality, and effectiveness, and immediately inform the Head Chef of any issues or maintenance-related matters.Basic Qualifications
• Culinary diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience in a kitchen, ideally with at least 1-2 years in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and hygiene practices.
• Ability to follow instructions and recipes precisely.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
• Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.Preferred Skills/Experience
• Experience in a fine dining or high-end restaurant environment is a plus.
• Knowledge of advanced cooking techniques and presentation skills.
• Experience in managing kitchen staff or leading a small team.
• Creative approach to menu items and food presentation.
