Role Overview
As a Senior Sales Executive at Ultra Maritime Service, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying, developing, and maintaining relationships with new and existing clients. In this capacity, you will actively support the strategic expansion and development of Ultra Maritime’s regional offices, helping to ensure cohesive growth. You will play a pivotal role in representing the company’s capabilities, negotiating contracts, and contributing to the long-term commercial strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development:
- Identify potential clients and emerging markets to expand the company’s customer base.
- Develop strategic plans to approach and secure new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with regional offices to align business development strategies across different markets.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
- Serve as the main point of contact, understanding client needs and collaborating with internal teams to deliver optimal solutions.
- Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Create and implement effective sales strategies to meet or exceed individual team revenue targets.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals tailored to client requirements.
- Support Regional Growth:
- Work closely with local and regional Ultra Maritime offices to coordinate market-entry strategies, share best practices, and facilitate knowledge exchange.
- Identify key opportunities for collaboration across different geographical areas, aiding in the consistent and sustained growth of the Ultra Maritime brand.
- Market Research & Analysis:
- Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes impacting maritime sales.
- Provide regular feedback to management about market developments and new service opportunities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with operations, customer service, and finance teams to ensure seamless execution of contracts and customer onboarding.
- Coordinate with marketing to develop promotional materials and campaigns that support sales objectives.
- Reporting & Forecasting:
- Track and report sales performance metrics, providing accurate forecasts and analyses to senior management.
- Maintain an up-to-date CRM system with client information, sales pipeline data, and follow-up actions.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Maritime Studies, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- A Master’s degree or specialized shipping/maritime certification is a plus.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5–7 years of sales or commercial experience within the maritime/shipping/logistics industry.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, ideally in a senior or supervisory role.
- Technical & Industry Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of international shipping regulations, freight forwarding, and vessel chartering processes.
- Familiarity with Incoterms, maritime documentation, and global trade practices.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal abilities and client-centric approach.
- Ability to analyze market data and formulate strategic sales plans.
- Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and MS Office Suite.
- Languages:
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
- Greek language skills are essential.
- Knowledge of additional languages relevant to maritime trade routes is a plus.
