Pre-Sales Engineer

Job Purpose

Responsible for providing technical and product support to the sales team during the sales process. This role involves understanding client needs, preparing and delivering technical presentations and demonstrations, creating proposals and technical documentation, and supporting sales activities to drive business growth and achieve required targets.

Duties & Responsibilities

 

  1. Technical Support for Sales Activities:

 

  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand client requirements and provide technical expertise during sales presentations and meetings
  • Conduct thorough analysis of client needs and recommend appropriate solutions and products
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to prospective clients

 

  • 2.     Proposal and Documentation Preparation:

 

  • Develop detailed proposals, including technical specifications, pricing, and implementation plans
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, product datasheets, and other presales materials
  • Ensure all proposals and documentation are accurate, comprehensive, and tailored to meet client needs
  • Assist in the preparation and coordination of sales proposals, presentations, and contracts for existing clients
  • Work closely with the sales team to ensure that proposals align with client needs and preferences
  • Track proposal status and follow up with clients to secure approvals and finalize agreements

 

  • 3.     Product Knowledge and Expertise:

 

  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of the company's products and services, including features, benefits, and technical specifications
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and new technologies
  • Provide feedback to the product development team based on client interactions and market research

 

  • 4.     Client Engagement and Relationship Building:

 

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients
  • Address client inquiries, concerns, and technical questions in a timely and professional manner
  • Provide ongoing technical support and consultation to clients throughout the sales cycle

 

  • 5.     Client Retention and Satisfaction: 

 

  • Monitor client satisfaction levels and gather feedback to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of products or services and resolution of client issues
  • Implement strategies to enhance client loyalty and retention, including upselling or cross-selling additional products or services

 

  • 6.     Client Communication and Outreach:

 

  • Develop and maintain communication channels with clients, including newsletters, email updates, and social media engagement
  • Coordinate client events, webinars, and other engagement activities to foster relationships and share industry insights
  • Act as a brand ambassador for the company, representing our values and offerings to clients and stakeholders
  • Work closely with internal teams, including sales, marketing, product development, and customer service, to ensure seamless delivery of solutions to clients
  • Participate in regular sales meetings and provide updates on presales activities and client feedback
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of sales & marketing events, trade shows, and webinars


 

  • 7.     Reporting and Documentation:

 

  • Maintain accurate records of presales activities, client interactions, and pipeline status using CRM software
  • Prepare regular reports on presales performance, market trends, and business development activities for management review

 

 

Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in IT, Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or any related field.

Experience & Job Requirements 

  • At least (1-2) years of experience.
  • Proven track record of success in achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
  • Good understanding of IT products, services, and solutions, with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with clients at all levels
  • Experience in client relationship management, sales support, or a related role
  • Strong customer service orientation, with a passion for building and nurturing client relationships
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to navigate in sales cycles and close deals
  • Good technical knowledge in website, web services and web development
  • Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong technical and business acumen
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
